Oswestry is a historic market town in rural Shropshire within easy reach of the major areas of population in the West Midlands & North West Regions. It is also close to significant areas of tourism activity such as North Wales, Chester, Manchester, Birmingham & Liverpool. Oswestry was awarded “Best large town in Britain” at the Britain in Bloom Finals 2023, and is well known for its independent shops, cafes, markets, award-winning park, heritage railway, and being the birthplace of poet and soldier, Wilfred Owen.
Oswestry has a well-established Coach Park offering free parking, situated next to the Old Station Building and Cambrian Heritage Railways Museum. Just a 5 minute walk up to the shops and market along Oswald Road.
For the best experience for coach parties, passengers and drivers, it’s suggested that you book in beforehand with David Clough from Oswestry Town Council. David is happy to arrange a personal meet & greet for coach visitors at Castle View.
A Guided Walking Tour of Oswestry may also be arranged for groups of visitors, if pre-booked.
To pre-book, contacts David Clough at Oswestry Town Council on 01691 680222 or email davidclough@oswestry-tc.gov.uk
